Alistair Stewart walked into the college today and I called over to him "Would you like a Ravensbourne wristband? The money is going towards our degree show".
He then said "Oh yes - I'll have an orange one please!"

Getting Further with the Posters and Creating a Facebook Group

Here are the posters now I am pleased with how they look, but I think I will work a bit more on them before naming them the ones that I will use for around college.  I have also now created a Facebook group and added all of my friends from Ravensbourne in it. I will make sure I keep up to date on this and tell them everything that it would help for them to know.

Second Shot

Today I decided to take another photo that showed what they would be like to wear and I also wanted in a clearer and more interesting position. 

And this is what it now looks like after I have done some work on Photoshop. I think it is at least an improvement over the other photo, but I am thinking of including both.

Creating Posters

I have been trying to start creating a poster to put up around college and on the table when I am selling the wristbands on level 0. I took some photos and I have been trying to create something that I would be happy with. So far I think that it is ok, but obviously not good enough to use. I will keep working on it. :)

College Friends Buying Wristbands Too!

I took wristbands into college for the first time today and I sold a lot of them to friends and I think it is showing a positive future for the selling of these wristbands.

Started Selling!

The wristbands have now arrived! Even earlier than the express delivery was estimated to be! Because of this I have started selling them to family and friends and so far I have made £18 pounds and I have another  3 promised to be bought.

Phew! Visual is finally ok!

So here is the final correct visual of the design! I am really pleased with how this looks. I hope the wristband does end-up looking like this, but debossed. 

Visual still not right!

Phew! They got my email saying that Ravensbourne was spelt wrong and said that it is ok to change it still -they don't start work until we pay! The one problem is their redesign is still spelt wrong!!

Help! I am sorry but when I checked the visuals today, it was only on my mobile phone as I was out. When I got home and looked at your pdf again, from my laptop, I realised that you have spelt the name of my university wrong. 

Please see my drawing that I sent you. 

The name is spelt "Ravensbourne" NOT "Ravenborne". 

i.e. You have missed out the "s" and the 'u". 

I am really sorry that I did not pick this up, but on my mobile phone I couldn't see the text clearly. 

Please could you correct the visual and let me have another check before you start on the production.

Revised Visual!! Oops!

Adband have just recreated the wristband design visual - above.
The only problem is that I was checking my emails on my phone, and so I couldn't see the writing clearly. Then when I looked on my laptop, I saw that they had spelt Ravensbourne as Ravenborne. Oh! I have been at college all day and said that all systems are go! I did send the email quite late in the day, so it should be ok.

I have sent another email saying URGENT! and that Ravensbourne was spelt wrong, explaining  how it should be. This just emphasises how careful you have to be with checking every detail all the time.
I think that Adband will not start on them until we pay anyway!

Adband Visuals

Adband always create a visual of the design for the customers first, for approval, to make sure that the design is correct. This is what they sent to me, above, - only featuring 2011, and one logo but no name.

Even though I do think this wristband design would look ok it is not what I wanted. 

The colours look correct, but the design is not right.

Because of this I drew out the design I need and sent it to them (see below) 

Finalised order and negotiated discount

I am really pleased as I am ready to order the wristbands now. I negotiated a discount from Adbands - I got fast delivery for free, worth £35, by agreeing to have their name inside the bands. I hadn't wanted to have this, although it is standard and you have to request in writing that it is left out. But I thought that it would be worth leaving the Adbands name inside, in return for the fast delivery for free. (Usually 3-4 weeks, now 8-10 working days). A saving of £35!! And they will arrive sooner, so I can start selling sooner!
